Lamb is delicious and healthy!

When you’re trying to be healthy and craving flavor, lean lamb is the delectable choice. A 3-ounce serving of American lamb has no carbohydrates and only 176 calories. That same serving can provide more than 40% of the Recommended Daily Allowance for protein.

Compared to other meats, lamb contains little fat marbling throughout the meat – and since most of the fat is limited to the outside edges, it’s easily trimmed. That means fewer calories. It’s naturally mild and sweet and when you buy Superior Farms lamb, you know you are making the superior selection!  Learn how to cook lamb with our easy cooking instructions, then try one of our great lamb recipes and see for yourself!  Or you can order printed lamb recipes for your cookbook at home!

U.S. Recommended Daily Reference Values provided by a 3-ounce serving of cooked lean lamb:

Protein            48%
Vitamin B12     37%

Niacin              27%

Zinc                 30%
Riboflavin         14%
Iron                 10%
